About
Benjamin L. Russell is a patent translator currently working in Tokyo, Japan. He was exposed to Scheme and Haskell in college, and is especially fascinated by Scheme continuations. After graduating, he discovered Croquet, a Squeak Smalltalk-based technology for developing interactive virtual 3D worlds, and is currently interested in using this technology to create a virtual world in which users can not only play, but also work, study, and carry out financial transactions. His dream is to harbinger a virtual world version of Alvin Toffler’s “The Third Wave,” which he terms “The Fifth Wave.”
(using this technology to create a virtual world in which users can not only play, but also work, study, and carry out financial transactions.)
Actually, I just participated in my first ever weekly opencobalt skype conference call two weeks ago, and am at my first noisebridge.net “gamebridge” meeting tonight.
また「話す」機会が生じると確信して、

Perhaps we could collaborate. Until October 15, I’ll be very busy with a couple of translation project, and I’ll still be busy after that every week with new projects, but perhaps we can find a suitable time to work together. I’m usually a night owl, and tend to work better at night. Let me know your schedule for the next couple of weekend evenings, and perhaps I can arrange a time slot.
